Will Barack Obama end the war in Iraq?

Okay let me elaborate.

What I mean by saying that people aren’t ready for change is that there are many people who are pessimistic about the way things are and they don’t believe that things will ever get better. Also, there are people who just don’t want things to get better. During slavery, I’m sure that there were many slaves who thought that they would never be free and slavery would go on forever until the end of time. Believe it or not, there were other black people who felt as if they actually preferred to be slaves and looked upon as second or third-class citizens.

On the flip-side of that coin there were white people who wanted slavery to continue, and they could care less about the rights of black people. At the same time, there were other white people who fought hard to free slaves and to abolish slavery as a whole. If history has shown us anything it’s that things have to get worse before they get better, it’s called progress. So with that being said, it took both black and white working together to end slavery and the oppression of black people.

Now what I meant by the 401st year is that slavery was over by that point, but the free slaves had a new fight on their hands which was civil rights. It’s the same process all over again; it has to take black and white working together and on the same page for things to progress.

Change = Progress

Once this Iraq “oil war” is over, there will be yet another challenge for us to overcome as a nation.
