Bernie Sanders isn’t waiting around. He’s pushing universal health care right now. Cenk Uygur, host of The Young Turks, breaks it down.
"In the wake of the Republican failure to repeal the Affordable Care Act on Friday, leading figures in the progressive wing of the Democratic Party are rallying behind a single-payer health insurance and a raft of other bold reforms.

These lawmakers and grassroots leaders have long believed that the problems plaguing the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, are rooted in the original health care law’s attempt to accommodate, rather than gradually replace, the private, for-profit health insurance system.

Now that efforts to eliminate the law wholesale are effectively dead, they are again arguing that the best way to improve the country’s health care system is to confront the power of corporate health care providers more directly.

“We have got to have the guts to take on the insurance companies and the drug companies and move forward toward a ‘Medicare for all,’ single-payer program,” Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) said on MSNBC’s “All In with Chris Hayes” on Friday night. “And I’ll be introducing legislation shortly to do that.””*

Universal health care aka single payer died in CO and even in St. Bernie's home state of VT. Even Romneycare was able to get implemented in MA

But do carry on.

Because what we have works so well huh
Romneycare/Obamacare is proven to work.

The only thing wrong with Obamacare as far as Republicans are concerned is that it's got a black man's name on it and insurance companies are no longer able to fleece the people at will.

You'd think Universal Health Care would have been passed in St. Bernie's home state at least. But you'd be wrong.

Just sayin'.

Indiana woman thought Trump would deport 'bad hombres.' Instead, he's deporting her law-abiding husband.

"I wish I didn't vote at all," Helen Beristain told the Tribune. "I did it for the economy. We needed a change."

Franklin Delano Roosevelt wrote a letter to corporate democrats threatening to withdraw his nomination if they did not support his progressive Vice President pick Henry Wallace. His sentiments about the need for Democrats to be more progressive applies even more to today's world.

We elected the mot successful used car salesman in the world to be POTUS.smh.
Many of us already knew Trump was full of BS, but the rest of the country had to learn the hard way.

The man only knows how to say what people want to hear. Being truthful isn't a part of his DNA.
The best part of the health care debacle is that he's finally been exposed as the empty suit he's always been. He isn't smart, he's an awful negotiator/dealmaker, and he's as lazy as it gets when it comes to the actual job of being president. If it doesn't involve Twitter, watching cable news shows, or playing golf he isn't interested.

FDR was a rare cat. Born rich. Died rich. Yet he was nearly as populist and socialist as Bernie Sanders. The man was clearly a patriot and loved his COUNTRY, not just his socioeconomic class.
For this generation I believe the enlightened billionaire politician will come from the tech sector. Someone like Paul Allen or whomever.
Don't know about that. They're building homes in New Zealand as an exit strategy. They don't have much faith in the future. From their perspective the poor will tear themselves apart and they'll build their technocratic heaven on the ashes of the fallen and live forever. If you spend time around a lot of these people it's crystal clear everyone who isn't like them are just a nuisance not actual people like them.
It's incredibly sad, hope to God I'm wrong.

Sad recount of the moment of the shooting, including a cop crying out in grief and an another throwing up..

How is the mainstream media covering this? I haven't been paying attention and only seen headlines on Twitter & YouTube. I would assume they are playing dumb & obtuse and totally ignore the hypocrisy.

America's completely hypocritically, They gave that cave dwelling whore who killed Terrence Crutcher a chance to tell her side of the story. They always want to make white people the victims.
