You already know that the removal of that Right has bore extreme harm upon the masses.
You brought up slavery earlier..they (Southern Democrats) didn't want freed slaves to have guns.
How could you, "as a black man" as you put it so elequently earlier, demand that the ONLY PEOPLE allowed to be legally armed be the Police and Government? It's oxymoronic in it's nature.
If this weren't fact, l'd have put it in the conspiracy thread, but it's been revealed today that David Hogg was not at the school during the shooting.
He was at home.
He was speaking days after in an interview that is now going viral, explaining that "..On the day of the shooting, he grabbed his camera, and got on his bike and rode the 3 miles to the school from his house, to interview a bunch of the student witnesses.
Then we have the 'famous' video recording of him saying he is "there, hiding with classmates during the shooting." WTF?
You can't make this stuff up, even though Hogg apparently has.![]()
No, it certainly SHOULD NOT be in the Conspiracy Thread. The kid spoke it HIMSELF. I saw it. There was no juxtaposition. How can Politifact even assure you its a "pants on fire" lie when it's people simply calling out his ACTUAL interview discrepancy? No it should certainly go in the conspiracy theory thread Bliss..
David Hogg not at school during shooting? Bloggers spread misinformation
![]()
http://www.politifact.com/florida/s...-hogg-not-school-during-shooting-s-fake-news/
"David Hogg admits he wasn’t at school during Parkland school shooting," says a headline on DailyPresser.com.
None of those claims are true.
The inaccurate posts say that Hogg’s comments directly contradict statements in a Feb. 15 Time Magazine interview. Hogg said he heard a gunshot while sitting in an AP environmental science class around 2:30 p.m.
The blogs juxtaposed that statement with the following statement from Hogg in the CBS documentary: "On the day of the shooting, I got my camera and got on my bike and rode as fast as I could three miles from my house to the school to get as much video and to get as many interviews as I could because I knew that this could not be another mass shooting."
People questioned how Hogg could be at school when the shooting started and also be riding his bike three miles to get his camera. And if Hogg really did leave school; how did he get back on to campus if the area was on lockdown?
The timeline presented in this way is a bit confusing, but the blogs didn’t try to fairly settle the seeming discrepancy.
Here’s what happened.
Hogg was at the school during the shooting. Hogg shot a video on his cellphone while taking cover in a classroom closet.
Sometime after that, he went home.
At around 6 p.m., Hogg went back to get interviews, according to Vox.
"The evening after the shooting, Hogg says, he biked up to the school, where the media was still camped out," the article says. "This time, he put himself in front of the camera, making his first — but not final — plea for an end to mass shootings."
Regardless of this information, other conservative news websites including InfoWars and RedState jumped the gun and reported that the CBS interview "cast doubt" on Hogg’s whereabouts during the school shooting.
Sometime after the original stories, both websites issued "updates" on their stories to say that the CBS video included Hogg’s quote without context.
But not every site did.
All oversimplifications aside, no law should be immune from change if our society has evolved to the point where the law does more harm than good.
Politifact also never explain: Why go home to grab your camera and "race to interview students", when you HAD YOUR CAMERA ALREADY.
You were RIGHT THERE, ALREADY.
So why go home to come back?
What parents let their child go back?
On a bicycle, no less?
3 miles, no less.
Why did he go home, and others stay? Word by police was the kids were all bussed to nearby hotels.
The school was on lockdown after the kids were removed. Who let him back in?
Why would they let him back in?
Where did he find all these fellow kids to interview, after 6pm?
Vox sound like are covering for the Left because this kid has become the 'face' of kids getting killed by kids. (The face used to try to shut down The NRA), and they will not give it up. Politifact is aiding them on that.
Do you not find the polar stories odd?

I didn't say he left during the shooting, I said that why would he leave after the shooting and then come back to interview people when he was already right there, it doesn't make sense.I think you might be getting the timeline mixed up, he did not leave and come back "during" the shooting, he came back after it was over and the news crews were there interviewing people outside, he did not go back in per the article, he got "B'" roll footage from those outside. There were plenty of people milling around the school that evening.
Think about it Bliss, if he really was not there and then went on TV saying that he was, the kids he interviewed would have called him out on it in a split second, there would be no way to keep all those kids telling the lie. Hell even right wing news site "Red State" corrected their claims that he was not there https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/...tudent-david-hogg-whereabouts-during-shooting
Repealing the 2nd Amendment wouldn't even ban owning a gun. You just wouldn't have a constitutional right to own one.
These young kids if they keep their fervor are going to get that shit overturned in a decade.
The 2nd Amendment has been exploited and misinterpreted for generations, until with have a gun violence problem NONE of our allies suffers from.

Okie doke.
I didn't say he left during the shooting, I said that why would he leave after the shooting and then come back to interview people when he was already right there, it doesn't make sense.
It doesn't make sense that he would get on a bicycle and ride for 3 miles back to a massacre. Where were his parents? Why would he even want to go back? People milling outside would not be the students - the students were removed from the premises and taken to nearby hotels or taken to their homes.
I also actually didn't question if he was there, until he himself said that he was at home.
Now all of a sudden, there's these added explanations and a "6pm" timeline to explain his comment that he was at home, grabbed his camera and got on his bike to ride to the school.
It just doesn't add up.
Even his new Vox addum is odd, it's quite descriptive... like he's telling a story..
"At 6 pm after the shooting, I took my camera, got on my bike. I rode in basically twilight. And I ride my bike three miles down winding sidewalks and find my way to the school, as I’ve done in previous years. All the while, I was making sure my camera bag didn’t rip open, because if you zip it a certain way, the camera falls out, and it would be destroyed."
Now compare it to the original comment he said on TV..
"On the day of the shooting, I got my camera and got on my bike and rode as fast as I could three miles from my house to the school to get as much video and to get as many interviews as I could because I knew that this could not be another mass shooting."
I'm sorry...something is strangely off here.
Exploring the same dichotomy, somebody has to explain how all the people who are yelling "Black Lives Matter" and "Don't trust the Government" are also the same people saying "we need to abolish the second Amendment" and we need more Government in our lives.Someday somebody has to explain to me how all the people who are yelling "Blue Lives Matter" and "Make America Great Again" are also the same people saying "we need guns to protect us from the police and the government."
Excuse me Andreboba, spare me your feigned offense - as a law-abiding gun owner, l've been called a 'child murderer" by these puppeteered 'kids'.All of our NATO allies have strict gun controls, and not one of them is seen to be potentially threatened from a totalitarian regime.
In a democracy, you don't need an armed population to defend against tyranny. Besides to overthrow the government, you need the national military to be on board. 18th century laws don't work to regulate 21st century weapons.
Comparing these idealistic kids and their desire for common sense gun control to the fanaticism of Adolf Hitler is just sick.
Somewhere along the way you lost the ability for rational thought.
I guess you think all your native countrymen are idiots and fools for banning guns.
Talk about being conflicted against one's self.
Well at this juncture, my opinion on his part in all this is with a raised eye. Even with modern media, It took a while for this video to (re)emerge of him being at home and leaving. He never once said he went home and came back until the Vox statement. My First thoughts about the Hogg kid is that he is camera and fame hungry, not to say that he is not genuine in his activism and the tragedy, just that he loves to be in front of the camera. That being said, even if you do think something is off, there is no way, no way at all, to keep a bunch of teenagers all agreeing to the same lie to cover for Hogg, someone would have "broken" that story for sure, I would not doubt that some of the right wing sources have offered $ to anyone who would come forward to cast doubt on Hogg.
Thats the problem with most conspiracy theories in modern times Bliss, almost everyone is carrying a device that can record audio, video, and take pictures and can easily share them all. There is a 99.99999% certainty that if Hogg was lying about being there he would have been exposed with rock solid proof by now. I would even be willing to bet that someones home security camera would have caught him riding his bike those 3 miles at the wrong time if he was lying.
Exploring the same dichotomy, somebody has to explain how all the people who are yelling "Black Lives Matter" and "Don't trust the Government" are also the same people saying "we need to abolish the second Amendment" and we need more Government in our lives.
Why do you call it stupid and grabbing out of thin air @ arming teachers. Being armed is not a new thing. It's just been kept from you, or it's not been a huge deal. No, the sign is spot on, and I totally agree with it. They (like the clueless one in the WH) always want to distract from the obvious and grab stupid shit (like arming teachers and so on) out of thin air. I don't think anyone believes guns are the sole problem, but common sense says they're obviously a factor in the violence. While calmer heads are open to serious dialogue and such... The NRA (and followers) continue peddling the BS that guns/and access to them are not part of the problem.
Now they've lowered themselves to talking crap about the students for assembling and calling for action. Imagine that... These shootings are happening over and over, the powers that be continue to offer "thoughts and prayers" and somehow the students are being criticized for wanting real action. On top of that another genius suggestion. First there was the idea to arm the teachers, and now... The children taking CPR courses. Nice! So we'd have educators performing a critical LEO action, and students performing CPR. All of this to keep the NRA and it's followers happy. Gotta love all of this winning.
I would rethink, if you think a tyranical Govt is "hypothetical" in the U.S.AThe main difference is that the gun huggers are paranoid about a hypothetical tyrant government, and the people advocating for getting rid of guns are responding to actual violence.
