Taking bets this will set up Scott's now-teenage daughter to become Stature (dumb name), while the Hawkeye series on Disney+ will set up Kate Bishop to be the new Hawkeye. More girl power, yay

Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe, publisher Outright Games, and UK-based development studio Funsolve, in collaboration with Sony Pictures, today revealed the Jumanji: The Video Game launch trailer. The game is now available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

SMH. So DC fanboys keep falling for the Zach Snyder okey doke. That mother fucker said the "Ultimate Edition" of Batman v Superman Blu-Ray was suppose to be 100 times better than the theatrical release. How did that bullshit play out in the end?

I’ve found it difficult to watch any shows on the CW. They ruined Arrow, the flash has gone downhill, they removed all black men from legends, and black matriarchy... I mean black lightning is nothing I will ever watch. So, they can reboot what they want.

besides, the original idea for Kung Fu is represented on Cinemax, so I really don’t give a rat’s ass what they do.

I appreciate the information. It seems they are leaning into the girl power thing. I am genuinely curious how that will pan out over a 3 to 5 year plan. Especially, when you factor that everything is switching to streaming media.
To be fair, the brotha who played Kid Flash left the show on his own accord. Something to do with depression, I think? The Legends show runners thought they were getting him after Firestorm left. There is talk that Diggle may join The Legends.

I will watch this wholes season of The Flash. The new show runner is a black man, so I'm going to support. But, after the Crisis Crossover, I think I'm done with the CW/DC shows. Though, Arrow seems to be going out on a relatively high note. But, that could change over the course of an episode.

Shit, it was better. By a large margin. But, it still had issues.

Funny thing is, the part that so many people complained about is something I thought worked quite well. That being the infamous "Martha" scene.

lol. People were mentioning that in the hashtag.

So in other words those extra 30 minutes or so of deleted scenes that didn't make it into the theactrical cut didn't actually do what they were hyped up to do....
I wouldn't go that far. But, it did make the movie a lot better. But, if you can't get past the how Zynder's characterizations of Batman and Superman, then the new footage won't make anything better. Nothing will. But, if you can just accept them as lesser "Elseworlds" versions of characters we know, then it ends up being well worth watching.

Huh? Who is the new showrunner on "The Flash"?

I've seen the Ultimate Edition and it's more than just the characterizations of Batman and Superman that throws everything off. There's some interesting stuff in there but what Snyder did with most of it were some missed opportunities to set up a good live action DC universe. Doesn't help that Warner Brothers cares more about Batman and Batman related characters that they don't put the same effort into the literal universe of other characters they can utilize.

Halo-TV-series-SHOWTIME.jpg

Slight update on the Halo TV series. Showtime has released a complete cast photo (minus Bookeem Woodbine)

I played all of the X-Box games and I've read several of the tie-in novelizations, so I can tell you the cast in the game lore is nowhere near this diverse.
There might be a bit of backlash, but since the lore isn't that well known to most people I don't think the "controversy" will be that extensive.

Also, of the 9 characters played by the people in the photo, only five exist in the established lore and of those five there are three race swapped characters. The Indian actress on the left is playing a character that is white Polish in the lore, and the two black people kneeling/squatting are playing characters who are white in the lore, in fact the race swapping also creates an IR story angle because the brother at the bottom of the picture is the father of the mixed girl next to him, and her mother is the character played by actress third from the left.

“Kung Fu”: The CW Taps “Blindspot” Team for Female-Led Reimagining
https://www.bleedingcool.com/2019/1...ining/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook

The CW‘s run of revamping, rebooting, and/or reimagining (is it possible to do all three at once without creating a tear in the space-time continuum?) continues unabated, with the network looking to reimagine the David Carradine-starring 1970’s television series Kung Fu with a female lead.

One of the reasons for the decision we’re sure had to do with the creative team spearheading the project. NBC’s Blindspot writer-executive producer Christina M. Kim (who will write the pilot), creator-executive producer Martin Gero, executive producers Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter, and Warner Bros. TV are teaming again to offer a fresh take on the original series created by Ed Spielman.

In the hourlong darama, a quarter-life crisis causes a young Chinese-American woman to drop out of college and go on a life-changing journey to an isolated monastery in China. But when she returns to find her hometown overrun with crime and corruption, she uses her martial arts skills and Shaolin values to protect her community and bring criminals to justice…all while searching for the assassin who killed her Shaolin mentor and is now targeting her.

Kim and Gero are set to executive produce via Gero’s Quinn’s House Production Company, joining Berlanti and Schechter from Berlanti Prods. and Warner Bros. TV. Two previous reimaginings of the franchise – both with female leads – were “in development” through FOX for the past two seasons. Both Berlanti Prods.-Warner Bros. TV projects received a put pilot commitment, but neither made it to pilot.

This will flop hard and they're going to blame men and not the lazy story choice that's been done to death. Kung fu originally worked because martial arts was brand new to Americans now it's used in every fight scene.
