Yes, this happen once every four years.Sweet Jesus in heaven we agree on one thing.
Also let's be honest premiums were consistently going up anyway and Im no big fan of the ACA but at the very least you won't be without insurance for getting sick. It's the difference of 3k for premiums (which is high) or 30k out of pocket expenses.
Now we have decouple employment from Healthcare and we'll be fine and dandy.
Yeah I reject that because we all saw with our own eyes when it's something "they" care about it happens lightning quick. Suddenly a trillion dollars literally appeared out of nowhere for the stock market but we tell everyday to stay sick and starve.Yes, this happen once every four years.
I think if they can come up with replacement for Cobra which was ridiculously expensive for those who suddenly became unemployed, perhaps a subsidy to help offset the cost of the premium until new employment and coverage is obtained.
I hope if President Trump is re-elected, he brings in some average Americans to speak on it, Congress should hold hearings, because this ACA can't continue and free coverage for all is not viable either.
President Trump has never had to face the prospect of a medical bill he can't afford, and Joe Biden has never in his life paid a medical bill and only offers "free for all", so he can get votes, knowing free is impossible for 350 millions Americans.
Just once, want politicians to listen to the people on this one.
Let's be honest, a lot of people who are voting for Joe Biden want the feeling of normalcy that comes along with and old fashioned politician. So I don't think Joe's decades of being a Washington insider hurts him in the least.
It would have been better than normal except the rabid, vindictive Dems with their silent coup came after Trump with a vengeance never seen before. The outsider had to be destroyed.Let's be honest, a lot of people who are voting for Joe Biden want the feeling of normalcy that comes along with and old fashioned politician. So I don't think Joe's decades of being a Washington insider hurts him in the least.
Your raised income tax of $1,500 plan doesn't covers the trillions it will cost to fund free healthcare.Yeah I reject that because we all saw with our own eyes when it's something "they" care about it happens lightning quick. Suddenly a trillion dollars literally appeared out of nowhere for the stock market but we tell everyday to stay sick and starve.
Secondly it would not be free it would cost you nothing at the point of use like the roads and fire department. So your taxes do go up but you end up paying less than you do for premiums. As an example I for a guy making 50k a year usual employer based insurance cost 200 to 250 a month 2400 to 3000 dollars a year. Under a Medicare for all system that person's taxes is raised 3 percent so they pay 1500 dollars a year with no co pays or premiums. It just means the billionaires and millionaires pay more for their taxes to balance the system. So unless you're ultra wealthy I don't see why you'd be against it.
I literally explained to you how it wasn't free it would be free at point of use. I also pointed out that raising taxes on all those people who got tax cuts in 2017 would help as well. You are also ignoring that overall it would be cheaper because people would get care before it becomes too costly. So instead of ignoring a pain in your stomach because you don't want to pay for the visit or possible visit you don't wait till it's a real problem and cost thousands instead of hundreds.Your raised income tax of $1,500 plan doesn't covers the trillions it will cost to fund free healthcare.
Other costs of living will have to be taxed unmercifully to pay for it.
Don't forget free education.
Free housing will follow.
And there is your socialism. You get a free flat, free Govt controlled education with a degree that you really can't expand on and free healthcare where you will get in line and wait months. This isnt Sweden and Australia, we are 350 + million people.
Nothing is truly 'free'.
I literally explained to you how it wasn't free it would be free at point of use. I also pointed out that raising taxes on all those people who got tax cuts in 2017 would help as well. And again we ALWAYS find money for non people centered endeavors. Subsidies for oil we find it. Money for needless wars we find it. Money for tax cuts for the rich that cost us two trillion dollars we find it but helping the American people is always too expensive. Sorry I do not buy it.
Free college is way cheaper than subsidizing insane student loans for these over priced colleges. Also free college is for public institutions there will still be private schools so no worries.
The difference is like prepaying vs paying afterwards. If you prepay its cheaper for you when you use it. Right now I have to pay for Healthcare the only difference is the Medicare for all is cheaper.Free at point of use? What is the difference? Raising taxes on those who got a tax cut in 2017. Are you serious? That's your answer?
That initial pain in the stomach was tended to before ACA.
If you had no money or insurance, it still was tended to.
That pain in the stomach under free healthcare for all starts out small, but ends up being a very costly visit. Because a barrage of testing will be done to rule everything out and if you don't think they don't do that now, trust me they do.
And can we address the astrinomical cost of healthcare being used to fund care for illegals, who deliberately take advantage of the U.S? Tighten that up, please.
Sweet Jesus in heaven we agree on one thing.

Heres a good article on the cost. It seems bipartisan, despite advocating for a lot of services.. Again, we are talking coverage for 350+ million people...The difference is like prepaying vs paying afterwards. If you prepay its cheaper for you when you use it. Right now I have to pay for Healthcare the only difference is the Medicare for all is cheaper.
No has ever disputed having care available the point is how much will it cost me? 200 bucks a month then 5k once I've used it or 250 dollars period. You tell me which one is cheaper.
Yes my pan is to raise taxes on people pay very little. Are you going to argue the only way we get a functioning country is to allow a handful of people make more money than they will ever use in three life times while people starve?
I doubt health-care cost for undocumented immigrants holds a candle to corporate subsidies so if you're concerned with unnecessary costs why not focus on the biggest and most identifiable ones
I'm not ride-or-die on issues or policy with ANY politician. Never have been.
The ACA, while it helped the 20 million uninsured, including those with a pre-ex-con, it financially DESTROYED the mid-to-lower income families.
Some couples actually divorced to qualify for Medicaid. Millions of healthy young Americans were saddled with choosing expensive plans when all they wanted was a catastrophic plan.
Did you ever have to choose and pay for any plan? No.
Understand, the costs and co-pays are outrageous. Thousands a month in premiums, then up to $5,000-$10,000 co pays/deductibles, whereas before it was $1,000-$2000.
Who can afford that?
So tax-paying Americans don't or barely visit the doctor or get services that they need to treat conditions, while you do, and never get a bill.
You get dental? Congratulations. Free, right?
Millions of working Americans lost that, which they had under their affordable plans before ACA, because now they are so expensive.
Unless you work for a Corporation or the Government who pays or helps pay, ACA is financially devastating.
You said you are poor, which means you dont pay a dime under Medicaid, but that was the case before Obamacare, so you have been covered, no matter what.
However, you cannot remain selfish on this issue, while YOU get free services, keep a thought for those who work hard and pay huge fees, for less services.
The ACA needs to be revamped, it needs to go back to affordable private plans as before, while keeping the expanded services for the poor and those with a PEC.
WTF is wrong with these people?????
I am at risk of losing all my medical and dental heath coverage if Trump wins, that I got through the ACA. I am very scared, if this happens, and then I get covid, I would not be able to go to a doctor, I am also a caretaker of older family, and it would be a disaster if we all got sick. No one is going to tell me about personal responsibility, it is not my fault heath care and the cost of living in general is so high, I and others like me deserve access to health care no matter our positions and income level, not just the rich glamorous and famous, or corporate workers. This feels so serious for me, I am literally shaking with emotion now as I type this.
Let's be honest, a lot of people who are voting for Joe Biden want the feeling of normalcy that comes along with and old fashioned politician. So I don't think Joe's decades of being a Washington insider hurts him in the least.
Why would anyone WANT to go back to an "old-fashioned" politician. Trump is literally the first president in decades that didn't start a war. And don't come at with me about Obama, we were bombing 7 countries under him.
Oh stop being so melodramatic. The ACA is not going anywhere until they come up with a better plan. Otherwise it would have been axed his first 100 days in office almost 4 years ago.
The ACA is a super expensive and shitty plan, but until they find a better solution, it's here to stay.
Nice patois drop there,TDKMI ratid this child love fi lie. The difference now is they have a six to three majority in the Supreme Court and your boy doesn't have to worry reelection if he wins. And it's not like they didn't try to repeal and replace but they couldn't get the votes because they used most of their political capital with the tax cuts.
WTF is wrong with these people?????
Oh stop, both of you. That is crazy, and Trump tried tried to say they were “Escorting them to be nice”.
Let's be honest, a lot of people who are voting for Joe Biden want the feeling of normalcy that comes along with and old fashioned politician. So I don't think Joe's decades of being a Washington insider hurts him in the least.
