His family released a statement that said,
“Tonight, with full but broken hearts, we must share the news of our father and brother Quincy Jones’ passing. And although this is an incredible loss for our family, we celebrate the great life that he lived and know there will never be another like him. He is truly one of a kind and we will miss him dearly; we take comfort and immense pride in knowing that the love and joy, that were the essence of his being, were shared with the world through all that he created. Through his music and his boundless love, Quincy Jones’ heart will beat for eternity.”

I loved Teri Garr! She was awesome in both Young Frankenstein and Tootsie. She and David Letterman used to have this flirty, joking relationship that was so funny whenever she was on the show. She was one of the reasons I tuned in when I was in high school. R.I.P.

Great trailer. Want to watch the documentary now.
91 years is a good long life.
Forever in my heart the deeply emotional experience Geldolf gave my generation with Live Aid and Quincy's We Are the World.

I always got a kick out of her flirtatious banter with David Letterman on his show. She will be missed. R.I.P.

Virginia Madsen pens a touching tribute to The Late Tony Todd on what would've been his 70th birthday

https://movieweb.com/candyman-virginia-madsen-tony-todd-loving-tribute/

"One of the reasons Candyman is so powerful is that people loved and cared about the characters. They were invested in this story. In a way, our friendship was a love story of its own. To get to start out with someone you respect and appreciate so much and remain in touch with years later — it’s a rare thing in this business."

Olivia Hussey just died at 73 years young :(.
I wS just about to watch one of her greatest movie performances in Bob Clark's seminal holiday horror classic "Black Christmas". She was best known for her starring role in "Romeo and Juliet". Rest in Power to this English-Argentine goddess!!

I loved this show as a kid. The ensemble cast was a part of cultural life for years and I don't remember how many people said "Kiss My Grits" as a gag. Probably about as many as did the Fonz thumbs up "ayyyy" gesture. Classic Americana. Lavin was a great actress and really brought to life the working class woman of the period. R.I.P.
