I used to know some polish girls & they refer to themselves as polish then use the term white to American white ppl, kind of weird but heard it..... If she is Polish as she claims to be then it kinda make sense.
It's because they're proud of their ethnicity. It's not like they don't think of themselves as white people. They're 100% something, so that's how they define themselves. But it doesn't mean they're separating themselves from other white people.
