Awesome Nature Pics

LOL, that lone palm tree is like, 'listen wind, u took all my kinfolk but dammit I'm NOT MOVING from here!'

Vultures or Hawks when flying in for the feed are very impactful...
Snakes and their snap attacks, and sharks (but sharks ARE common so not original idea)...

A thunderous avalanche is always wondrous,
A Tsunami is very powerful -- the way the sea sucks the ocean back like a bow and arrow, then explodes, destroying all in it's path...

Victoria of Niagra Falls...always a stunning act of nature
Anything with meteors...or falling stars
A volcano erupting, smothering towns...lava appears to move slowly, but it moves rather quickly in fact.

Even this which I found amazing...I watched a spider spin a silk web on my porch.......I was astounded at the SPEED the spider spun. He/she was on a schedule and before I knew it, this magnificent web from pole to pole was intact. They work very very quickly.

(of course there are non-nature ideas, too..like an Aerial plane demonstration, or group parachuting/skydiving, all requiring co-originated dynamics..even a human relay race where the baton is passed, or a horse race where the jockey timely opens up their horse to bolt for the last lap only) :D

*Hope I understood your description and this helps in what you meant :-)

I'm sorry tam, but Greeley is horrible. No offense to those who live there. I hope you can visit again and find some of the more beautiful, non touristy places here. I am not a native of Colorado but I have to say it's got so many beautiful places to visit that will leave you in awe of the beauty.

I agree, and if not for work, I would've have never gone to Greeley. I definitely want to go again to see all the beautiful glory of Colorado.

very nice pics, all together. The frog is funny, Jordan!:D

1-Week-Old Panda Cub Dies at National Zoo

By ALYSSA NEWCOMB and ANTHONY CASTELLANO | ABC News – 20 hrs ago

A giant panda cub born one week ago at the National Zoo in Washington D.C. has died.

Panda keepers and volunteers heard a distress call :( from the unnamed cub's mother, Mei Xiang, at 9:17 a.m., today, the zoo said in a statement.

The zoo's Panda Cam, which has for 18 years allowed people around the world to watch the bears in their habitat, was turned off. Veterinarians were able to safely retrieve the panda an hour later, according to the zoo.

CPR and other life-saving measures were attempted, however the cub failed to respond, zoo officials said.

The cause of death is still undetermined. Veterinarians said the cub was in "good body condition," weighing in at just under 100 grams and that there were no visible signs of trauma or infection.

The unnamed cub was born last Sunday night and has not been seen by the public.

"She [Mei Xiang] has a huge nest of bamboo, so it's normal not to see the cub," chief veterinarian Suzan Murray told "Good Morning America" on Monday.

"We rely a lot on the sound. We like to hear a little squawking and we're hearing a lot of squawking," she said...

"It took over a year of work, 260,000 images, and 6.3 terabytes of hard drive space, but photographer John Eklund's time-lapse video of the Pacific Northwest has finally begun to make the Internet rounds, even garnering the praise of Tom Lowe, one of the pioneers of the technique."
