Well here's the back story on the pic. The boy's name is Diego.


Meet Diego, he was from one of the poorest parts of Brazil, a country that's been ravaged by violence and drug cartels. Diego found a mentor to pull him out of poverty by teaching him the gift of music, Evandro João da Silva. This picture was taken at Silva's funeral after he fell victim to a random assault which Diego and the other kids in the program got to play at. Later Diego passed away himself from a failed kidney transplant.

This story is heartbreaking, Evandro believed in making sure everyone had a chance to a better life, and he had succeeded with his program until Diego passed away as well.

Life is precious, remember that.
