They're cats so who cares? That's why I didn't even bother mentioning this movie in my thread.
I would have never considered it legit even if they weren't cgi. Because.....they're...cats.
I...I can’t unsee this... I can’t fucking unsee this... NOOOOooooooo!!!!Taylor Swift and Jason Derulo in their mocap suits

Reading how they are supposed to be some Cat/Human Hybrids combined with that creepy trailer this is giving me some straight up Island Dr. Moreau vibes. Is this a rated R musical.
And then I hear what Taylor and Jason are supposed to be doing in the movie

If this movie isn't rate R then it's back to being a weird looking movie I wouldn't want to see. Please let this be Rated R.
According to Wikipedia, "Someone Great" dropped on Netflix this past weekend.
Here's the trailer:
@darkcurry @qaz1 Y'all seen it yet?
I didn't see it. I might check it out since Lakeith Stanfield is in it. I like him. The trailer is not that funny to me to be honest, but looks like everyone just having fun. Something about says they're trying to cater to all the demographics usually they over do it when that happens, but it just kind of reminds me just a fun young flick.
I wonder why haven't Gina Rodriguez been out and everywhere promoting this though. She is a media darling. And have loads of celebrity friends where they at? lol.
"Someone Great" has positive review percentages on Rotten Tomatoes from both critics & viewers, but Netflix puts out some much content I think it's normal for a lot of original Netflix content to not get promoted.
Anyways remember what I said when I originally posted about this movie back in early January:
"At the same time, Gina Rodriguez has said/done multiple questionable things in the past + Lakeith Stanfield been doing the "BW is God" act in the past, so I'm sure this pic & upcoming film will not go over well on ***, Black Twitter, IG comment sections, & etc."
The things she has done didn't seem like it was with intent though. But that crying she was doing on Sway was cringe-worthy. Even though she made some good points.
Yeah I saw the 82% score with critics, but I didn't see it trending like their other IR Rom-Coms To All The Boys I Loved Before(AW/WM) and CandyJar(BM/WW) That's how I actually found out the air date of CandyJar. Unless I missed it I didn't see this trending, but the hashtag does have a lot of positive reactions, but also some spoilers. lol. But I just checked Netflix and it is right now in their top ten trends.
And once again this is another one made by a female. The Writer & Director is Jennifer Robinson(who's also Canadian.) and Gina Produced it and casted Lakeith.
All I know was that LaKeith Stanfield was getting a lot of love on twitter these past few days from ladies of all races.
Vanessa Kirby in Hobbs & Shaw play The Rock's Love Interest.

I know people hesitate posting The Rock's onscreen IR relationships because he does tend to gravitate more towards his Samoan side or he just play racially ambiguous characters but the fact is he's Black and Samoan. And he in of his few roles is actually playing a guy(Luke Hobbs) who is Black and Samoan. ---> https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/n...yne-johnson-showcases-samoan-heritage-1224264
"This is why this movie is really deeply personal to me because I am proudly half black and half Samoan, and we were able to showcase one of my cultures in this movie.."
This has been my take of the Rock to an extent for years as well. The only issue is that because of his physical appearance he is one of those black people that don't necessarily have to play black characters. If its Will, Denzel, Idris, etc or eve a lightskin biracial black actor such as Justice Smith, their outward appearance will always make them black ON THE SCREEN regardless of the nationality of their onscreen characters. Johnson on the other hand is more tricky. If I wanted to I suppose I can assume each time he steps out on the screen he is a black person of some sort of mixed racial heritage. But often enough I don't do that ad I'm not certain why. Obviously most people feel like me otherwise black people, especially black women, would be all over him a lot more for being a sellout for being on the screen With All Them White Women. But fortunately for Johnson because of his outward appearance he is free from all that nonsense, both off screen and onscreen. He is treated like a non-black man of color which means he has a lot more options in who he gets to woo in movies. I tend to chalk up his IR hookups when his character is defined as being black. Movies such as "Walking Tall" because we see his black father and his black siblings or a more recent one like "Skyscraper" because his two kids he has with his onscreen white wife are played by two black children. In Rampage his character is named Davis Okoye and Okoye is a Nigerian surname which made me do my mental gymnastics as picturing him as a child of a Nigerian dad and white mother who was raised in the USA. I would have been happy to assume Hobbs is black too despite not seeing any trace of his kin in previous F&F movies, but with this play up of his Samoan heritage in this recent flick I can't say I feel that way anymore. Hobbs isn't exactly a Samoan surname of course, but maybe its a nickname.
Is that movie any good?Apparently there is some IR in the new Netflix movie OtherHood with the guy playing Angela Bassett's son and a female named Angel.

Then watch it and report back.I don't know I just seen the pic on someone else's twitter feed and they mentioned it.
hollywood doesn't like its golden girls with black males.
That right there is the words Im talking about that needs to be shouted
out through hollywood and the public that right there would do it. Just
soembody have to have the balls.
Kristi bell in house of lies and Margot Robbie in focus are two great examples of golden girls in their prime wh had love scenes with Black menand relationships on film at least
