PLEA TO PARENTS WITH SMALL CHILDREN

Although I deal with death on the daily with my line of work, last night was especially hard. For the last two weeks I have watched a three year old little boy fight tooth and nail for his life. After going into cardiac arrest six times throughout my shift his precious little body could not take it anymore and he went to be with the Lord. His death was so senseless, and 100% preventable.

So for all you parents out there with small children PLEASE LOCK UP YOUR CLEANING SUPPLIES. Putting them in a cabinet up high is not enough. Children can climb. They need to be behind lock and key. His parents probably never thought this would happen to them, but it did. Now please take steps and don't let it happen to you.

This is so tragic. When my son was little, we put childproof catches on the cabinets to prevent just such an occurrence. So sorry for the family.

I know, first hand what it's like to lose a young child. So terribly sad...
 
Brief Facts of Halloween

  1. The origin story is, like many other celebrations, pagan-based.
  2. The recently departed are respected in this day.
  3. The word hallow means "holy."

Those are the fun facts...though brief. Sort of erased any nonsense ideas from the low-informed public who think it's a day for demons to show themselves.

I have a three year old daughter so this is a very strong warning for me. I just began to think of the various bottles of cleaning products that are actually accessible to her. -- Changes will be made in the morning.

Dude can you ever just let people enjoy shit. Who was this post for? You think there are posters who truly believe demons are coming out tonight and if they do was this post suppose to change that?

Funny how nearly all of your "fun facts" is just another thinnly veiled attempt at expressing how ridiculous you think religious types are. Youre a smart guy Im sure you have other songs to sing. Enlighten us about new technology youre in engineering right?
 
There are people whom I know who are religious, yet still celebrate Halloween and disregard the notion that it's an "evil holiday" as being silly.

it was either navy or marines, but i figured u know, since the marines is 'where all the shooting is,' he'd go into the navy like his mom :eek:
