Perhaps people would be less suspicious of you if you shared your real background instead of insisting you have been in the US since you were two. Because nobody is buying that. Your written word, both grammar and choice of wording and expressions point to something else. It sometimes looks like you are using babelfish or something.

I am a foreigner as you may be able to tell from my written word at times, nothing bad with that. Just don't say you are something you clearly are not.

It's not just the grammatical style and vocabulary, it's the entire story. It doesn't track very well at all. I find it hard to believe that someone whose family owns all of the beach resorts, large ranching concerns (the largest in South America if I remember right) etc., has made a living as a lap dancer. I suspect someone from that background would have had a yacht full of other options. It comes across as fantasy rather than reality to me, but hey, what ever floats one's boat, I suppose

it is rather funny when over time a person reveals so much about themselves and if one puts it all together it doesn't add up...you should have been a detective...we could open up our own PI firm:cool:

The grocery business thinks that it's clever with all bullshit pricing gimmicks they throw at consumers.

"Buy 4 for 5.00"

$1.25 per unit when it drops to $1 if the store wants or needs to clear the item. Some bargain.

And how much of what we buy is actual food? You can walk for aisles and not see anything that isn't built to last a nuclear winter. The food industry and grocery business need things to stay on the shelf to maximize their profitability.

Items with faster perishability are even placed back on the aisle if they've been sitting in a grocery cart overnight. Meat, eggs, "fresh" orange juice . . . you name it.

Yeah, same shit here. Supermarkets are nutritional wastelands in America particularly.

Monsanto and industrial abbatoirs, eat up.

Nice :)

I'm kinda curious how the thesis went... :). The topic matches one of the courses I'm taking now, talking about inequality of race, class, gender (and disability).

I wanted to do something related to deafness/deaf culture/deaf people in Canada, but it's kind of hard to research that if you're not even in the country  So then my profs pointed out I write so much on IR that it must hold significant interest to me as well. Not sure WHAT I want to research yet, but I do know it'd be something related to IR relationships

Why is it hard to research if you aren't in the country? What research method are you using?
