One of the purposes for going to war with Vietnam was to halt the spread of communism

We fought to achieve that goal with much more than bombs and bullets, and that was way back in in the 60s and 70s

The non violent methods employed (ie psychological ops) were still considered warfare and if captured, you faced the same punishment as a grunt rifleman or bomber pilot

Communism became perverted just like any other type of government

Look at the states were greed is rampant and people place more emphasis on material items than basic humanity

Communism had some decent principles but you know the old saying.....power corrupts....

Who are you referring to in your second line comment?
Are you referring to greedy communist states that ignore their people, or greedy democratic States that put an emphasis on material gain.

There have been some examples of socialism being effective or a social democracy like Canada.
A resource based economy would work best but you don't get new Iphones by respecting the earth.

The black-owned joints always had really good ones, with the really crispy crust. The Chinese ones in the midwest had crispy skin, but they never came spicy.

True. Communism does not support dictatorship-style government. Workers are supposed to control production and there is no restriction of expression.
 
I just seen TMNT and it wasn't half bad

Being from the Jim Henson era, I was a bit skeptical at first.....seeing my childhood heroes in cgi seemed like sacrilege

But..it was better than I thought it would be
