To add to that, why Bernie?
What do you see so inviting about living in a Socialist country?

We're not Sweden, we are 370 milion people if you add the 30 million illegals who will be given amnesty, then add the 20+ additional million people from the world over pouring in and crossing our open boarders since Bernie said he will abolish ICE and have no borders.

All will then have access to free housing, schooling, medicaid, who the hell will fund it all and control all of that? It's not possible, we will become a third world country.
I liked Bernie in 2016. I never thought his ideas would ever gain ground, I liked him more on the fact his message never changed in 30+ years, which is a rarity in today's political climate. He never tailored his message to his audience like every other politician does.

If it had been Trump vs Sanders in 2016, I likely would have voted for Sanders. But, instead we got Trump vs Clinton and instead of voting 3rd party, I did the only thing I could, which was to cancel out a Clinton vote with a "holding my nose as I voted" Trump vote.
Same. I liked 2016 Bernie & would've voted for him if he had been the Dem nominee. On the other hand, 2020 Bernie's messaging sounds like he sold out compared to his 2016 messaging. Which is a big reason why I was lukewarm on him this year.

What message were you listening to? He said the same exact thing fsm

Watch from the 40:42-49:28 timeslot:

Ciara Haley and George Szamuely talk to Robert Barnes about Trump's possible paths forward.

Too Long Didn't Watch version AKA What I originally meant to reply back to you but I never got around to until now:

1. Immigration. In 2016 Bernie was on the same page with Trump being against illegal immigration. Everyone is familiar with Bernie's classic line from 2015 "Open borders? That's a Koch brothers proposal":

In 2020 Bernie flipflopped on the issue basically co-signing open borders & offering free healthcare, Amnesty and other goodies for illegal aliens.

2. Woke identity politics. In 2016 Bernie was strongly against identity politics and regularly got criticized for it by HRC/establishment Dem supporters & the corporate MSM. In 2020 it felt like he gave in & went along with it.
