Compared to Kryptonite, it's not even deadly. I think it's safe to say that he's fought individuals whom are magic users or have magical properties and you know what's being neglected by those who tend to focus too much on it? His intellect. He's aware of that weakness, and he knows he has to fight individuals of that nature, so he can figure a way around it, despite being susceptible to magic.
Dude you're letting your bias against all things supernatural influence how you see Superman & how vulnerable he is to magic. How does his intellect play into it? That's like saying he knows he's vulnerable to kryptonite so he figures a way around it. Even when he has known he would be facing someone with access to kryptonite and came prepared bad guys have found ways around his precautions.

Plus, it's not like he's useless against them like you may assume.
Where have I stated that he's useless against magic?? The point I'm have been trying to make, which you keep saying is not so, is that magic is on the same threat level as kryptonite. I will repeat the observation that I stated in the Superman vs Thor discussion that you completely dismissed : Magic is treated as a metaphysical thing and thus negates Superman's normal invulnerability to physical attack in the same way kryptonite does.
And I'm making the case that it's grossly inaccurate since magic isn't fatal upon contact with Superman, nor does it weaken him by stripping him of his powers. He's not able to withstand magic, yes, but it's horribly wrong to assume that it's as dangerous as him coming into contact with Kryptonite. One is FATAL due to the radioactivity of the substance.
Had that been the case, all magic-based entities would make Superman virtually useless since all they need to do is simply be present and Superman would have to avoid them or keep at a distance.
Dude you are way over thinking this and trying to use actual science fact for a fictional character.
