You misunderstood. I don't care if any of these men are attracted to me. 3 of the 4 of them are married. My point with that post was that I've never felt so isolated in my life with this group before.

They're all really nice guys, but as soon as they entered that place it was like they were either horny teenagers who had never seen a woman dressed like that in their lives or they had just come back from a year long excursion in the Arctic Circle where they were without live women.

It was ridiculous. Like I said, I've been to Hooters with these guys and it was never an issue with them. But today the only acknowledgement that I was sitting with them was the joke they said of "Bookie, you're blocking our view of the women". Dear God, really?

They could have looked and still held a conversation that included everyone at the table, right? That was my big issue. I didn't need them acknowledging me as a female, it would have just been nice to be acknowledged as a fellow human sitting at the table with them, ya know?

Grown-ass men acting like a bunch of horny frat boys at a keg party. I think I'd tell them just that, and suggest they visit the boy's room for a quick jerk before lunch if that is what it takes to make them act like adults. That was damned rude to ignore you that way. Why the hell invite you to lunch if that's what they had in mind? Frankly, it's the sort of situation which could feel intimidating, isolating and hostile to a young woman. I'd have told them straight out they were acting like assholes, but my relationship with my former co workers was such that I could have done so without reprisal.

For me, it came down to what I could handle with a quip and what was more serious. Getting touched inappropriately, having obscene phone calls from the boss - those are serious things.

Some boor making a remark to me is going to be put in his place instead of sued, because it's a LOT more fun to embarrass him publicly. But then, that's just how I roll

Someone is going to have to explain to me how putting a specific jerk in his place, as described above, is "man-hating BS" I got neg repped for.

I'm looking but what I see is jerk-hate, not man hate. Not all men are jerks. Not all jerks are men. I'm just not seeing this post as man-hating. Perhaps who ever sent the neg rep would care to explain???

ETA: I also don't quite see how that statement defines me as either bitter, or a loser. I'm not either, but I suppose some folks aren't ever going to understand my humor until we get that sarcasm font I've been asking for :-)

You're welcome and you're also welcome because I just accidently postive repped you, LoL. I was clicking on it to make sure I'd be correct if I told you "Approve" = positive rep and "Disapprove" = negative rep.

Thanks for the + rep!!
