Human beings by nature are not the most honest of God's creation hence when someone publicly says i wont do this or that you cant believe it 100% because what you see is not necessarily what you get when a human being is in public. We are ourselves only when we are alone and nobody is looking at us. If we can get away with a lot of things i can assure you we will do it and that is human nature.

It might be some, maybe even most, peoples' nature to do that, but it's most definitely NOT in everyone's nature. I had the opportunity to cheat on husband #1 on more than one occasion (with a hot guy who actively pursued me at my job). My husband traveled and worked out of state. I never would have been caught. I didn't let things go further than casual flirting with the coworker.
Why? Because I still had to answer to my conscience.

I honestly think that comments like that reflect more on people who say them than us that say we wont cheat.
Sure some people put up a front about it.... but many people have integrity.
In Sweden we have a word for people who take opportunity to do unsavory stuff on purpose behind peoples back, such as cheating: eye-servant. its very derogatory.

I have lived long enough to know that while an animal will let you know it doesn't like you and would show its teeth or fangs at you, a human being can smile with you, laugh with you, pat you on the back yet knows he or she is gonna do you harm i know people have integrity all i am saying is that when someone says something openly i don't swallow it hook, line and sinker. Spouses kill their better half just to have their life insurance, we live in dangerous times.

While what you say is absolutely true, it doesn't negate what I said. Some people are inherently good and some are not. Unfortunately. Some people reveal themselves and their intentions fast and some are real sneaky bastards.
I am an optimistic person and I choose to focus on the good and not the bad - having that said, I am no dummy and can usually spot the sneak bastards a mile away.
Sometimes I get fooled, but hey - I chalk it up to a learning lesson but I refuse to start thinking glass half empty and have a negative view of people - if I did that would mean I allowed those type people to defeat me and I win over me. I am suspicious by nature so Im not really one bit gullible - I just simply choose to take a posimistic (2 words rolled into one

That's understandable but nothing was wrong with my statement, it wasn't directed just at cheating.

I almost fully believe everyone in this thread who said that wouldn't cheat if they could get away with it only because they majority are an older crowd who already experienced such things.
35 years and younger, I wouldn't trust any young whipper snapper. Seems like all young folks these days are opportunists of fucking others over these days. All it takes it the right time, situation, and sometimes money.
As an professional cheater the answer is yes, I lost count how many women I've been with and haven't been caught.

I agree w you that love and sex is not automatically connected. I also believe you are correct w your statement about the "older crowd" generally.
On the rest - yet - One day you probably will be less careful because you havent been caught. Or you grow out of it realizing that what you have at home is not worth gambling with.

I believe you're missing the point of every one who has said they wouldn't, which is our own conscience. For us, there's no "getting away with it" inside ourselves.
